Our contract

We have adjusted our policies in the last year of uncertaintly to reflect the changing restrictions and regulations for our guests coming from within France and abroad. Please be aware of your local restrictions when making your reservation as we would prefer not to have to cancel any reservations!

Below is the portion of our required contract that addresses cancellations and COVID-19:

§ 3 Reservation

The tenant shall pay the sum as a deposit of 50% of the cost of the full rental period agreed upon by the owner. The remaining amount owed for the rental period is due 60 days before the start of the lease OR at the time of the reservation, if it is less than 60 days before the start of the lease period when the reservation is made. 

Payments for rent are refundable under the following conditions:

  • where the tenant informs the owner AT LEAST 60 days before the start of lease period and in writing, will receive 100% of the amount paid 

  • WITHIN the 60 days before the start of the lease and where we can rebook the dates for the same period at the same price; OR

In summary, the French legislation dictates the following procedure for handling rebooking and deposits:

If on the day of departure a tenant cannot leave or enter or travel through a transit country due to COVID-19 restrictions, he is entitled to a Voucher issued by the contractor landlord to the value of the agreed rental amount including all mandatory additional costs. That Voucher has a duration of 18 months. In those 18 months, the booking can still be made or otherwise arranged. If the booking is not made, the landlord must refund the total amount, no later than 18 months from the original departure day, for the total amount. It is confirmed that an agreement between both parties may of course deviate from this directive.

Cleaning

Please be assured that we are taking measures to ensure that our property in cleaned to the highest degree, utilizing masks and gloves during the process, disinfection of all areas with extra attention to “high-touch” areas, like doors handles, switches, etc. We also have a steam cleaner for soft and hard surfaces.

Contactless Arrival and departure

While we love greeting our guests, we need to minimize contact and do so by utilizing our coded key box, email communication, and availability by phone to support our guests before arrival, during your stay and upon departure.
