Logement design et propre, très bien équipé, il ne manque de rien ! Les petites attentions laissées à notre arrivée nous ont particulièrement plu. Le village est très joli et de belles balades sont à faire. Il est également possible de faire du canoë sur l’Orb. Karen est très réactive par message. Je recommande !

Très belle maison avec un immense salon au rez de chaussée et 4 chambres à l’étage (2 lits doubles, 2 lits simple et un canapé lit) La piscine non privative est agréable ! La rivière n’est qu’à quelques centaines de mètres de la maison. Super séjour à la maison de farine de Roquebrun !

Nous avons passé un excellent week-end prolongé à la maison de Farine de RoqueBrun. L'équipement du logement est de très bonne qualité et la climatisation est très appréciable. Nous avons un peu profité de la piscine qui permet de se rafraîchir. Le logement est calme, très propre et de caractère. Un petit mot sur la région : bien adaptée au vélo et à la balade, nous avons passé de bon moment en canoë, dans les gorges de Colombières, mais aussi sur les petites routes à vélo. Un petite mise en garde, prévoir un répulsif à moustique car, comme touts la région méditerranéenne maintenant, le moustique tigre est présent la journée à l'extérieur... Nous reviendrons volontiers. Le mot de la fin, le vin est très bon et la maison de farine est juste en face d'un producteur renommé...

We have had a lovely week in Karen’s property. The Cave was spotless on arrival and contained everything you would need and more. Really lovely decor, comfy beds and good air con. Small swimming pool well kept and sun-loungers when we needed them, all in all great property to rent in the region. 5 minute walk into the quiet village, a couple of restaurants and bars. We expected the surrounding villages to be slightly busier especially Orlargue which seemed to be dead when we visited with one bar. The L’Orb river is beautiful and worth planning a few lazy days by its side. The Roquebrun Canoe hire and trips are also brilliant and definitely worth doing for some fun and excitement. We took our own candies but didn’t use them as they wouldn’t of coped with the rapids and rocks. All in all, beautiful quiet region and worth a visit.

Great property

Lots of little extras made our stay so enjoyable. Welcome pack on arrival, full soap dispensers at every sink / washbasin, plenty of towels, crockery and utensils. The house has been renovated very tastefully with modern fittings and furniture, but keeping some original features. We found it had everything we needed, including a winery across the road. The air conditioning was also very welcome and we appreciated the shade of the sail over the patio. The owner had arranged for the housekeeper to contact us before arrival and give us her contact details if there was anything we needed, so we felt looked after. The pool was cleaned during our stay and everyone was very friendly. The town itself has a fantastic ice cream shop / bakery and a few restaurants and is ideal if you like messing about on the river.

Karen's place is a comfortable, spacious place in which to stay in Roquebrun. The kitchen is well fitted out, making cooking there easy. Roquebrun is a very attractive place in which to stay. It has the advantage of being small and quieter than the major tourist areas in the region yet it has two bars, two restaurants, a mini market and bakery and in addition, the major tourist attractions are within easy driving distance. We particularly appreciated the friendliness of the town's residents who would always greet us when we were out walking. Since we were there at the end of Feb/beginning of Mar, river activities were not an option for us. However, the advantage was that the major tourist sites were not crowded and ambient temperatures were perfect for hiking in the hills.

Perfect stay for our visit to Languedoc in the South of France!!

We rented this entire property for a 60th Anniversary family reunion. It was perfect for our party of 12. We had four couples upstairs in the main building and 4 adult children sleeping downstairs in the Cave. This property is absolutely gorgeous and wonderfully decorated to suit the south of France surroundings. The buildings are in perfect condition and all the finishings are high end. The pool was a lovely respite from the hot of summer and we had most meals outdoors on the terrace or beside the pool. The town of Roquebrun is also super charming. We enjoyed swimming in the river and kayaking down the L'Orb River. This was an amazing experience and we want to extend a huge thanks to our hosts.

Excellentes vacances dans une région superbe

Nous avons passé d'excellentes vacances à Roquebrun. La maison est très belle, très confortable et très bien équipé. La piscine est très agréable quand il fait chaud. Le village est très joli et on y trouve quelques commerces et restaurants, ce qui est bien pratique. On peut se baigner dans la rivière même avec de jeunes enfants à 500 m de la maison.

Beautiful property in lovely area

A beautiful, spacious and very comfortable house in a fantastic area. We had a wonderful holiday with our two young boys exploring the area. So many little details in the house made it feel very special. Everything we could have needed was provided. Thank you for your hospitality!

A really nice conversion of an old building. Loved the use of the old press for the dining table.

Situated in a nice location in Roquebrun. We had a quiet , relaxing holiday at the apartment. It was clean, tidy and nicely equipped. The pool area is well kept and the couple of issues we had were quickly and effectively dealt with by the management team. We would recommend a holiday in Roquebrun for all the area has to offer, and we would definitely rent this property again.

Appropriée à des séjours en famille ou en groupe notamment grâce à la fantastique pièce à vivre (cuisine, salle à manger et séjour). A recommander aux amoureux de l'authentique et de tous les plaisirs liés à la nature : vélo, kayak, randonnée, courses à pied, découverte de l'AOC Saint Chinian, ...

Gite agréable et spacieux, disposant d'une grande pièce à vivre très bien équipée au niveau cuisine et vaisselle, décoration et aménagement harmonieux avec des clins d’œil rétros, très sympas à découvrir. Le top au niveau pratique : trouver en arrivant sel poivre huile etc et même des trucs à manger si on arrive tard et qu'on n'a rien dans son panier. Les chambres sont confortables , les deux salles de bains appréciables lorsqu'on est nombreux. Nous avons passé un très agréable moment et nous y reviendrons sûrement.

Très bel endroit

Maison tout confort avec 1 salle d'eau attenante à chaque chambre, super ! L'espace terrasse-parking fut très apprécié sous le soleil de Roquebrun. Dommage que la piscine fut vide. Nous recommandons ce logement, décoré avec goût dans l'esprit viticole.

A great base to explore surrounding Languedoc region... We stayed with friends in this apartment in October. It is beautifully designed with modern finishes against the backdrop of traditional grouted stone wall. The town is super quaint and set along the banks of the L'Orb river. It has a good little grocery store, restaurants and a wine cooperative right across the road. This kitchen is very well appointed which was great as we cooked most of our dinners after having visited the local market towns. We did day trips to other quaint towns and the medieval cities of Carcassone and Olargue. Bezier and Montpellier are also close by. Set in the foothills of the Pyrenees, this region is super beautiful and less touristy than Cote D'Azur to the east. This was a perfect place for our visit to the region!

Peaceful times in Roquebrun

This is a charming property loaded with character. From the rotating round table to the interior stone walls, comfortable beds and the peaceful small town. We were in Roquebrun at the very end of the season, so we had quiet days of sightseeing - and so much to see within one hour's drive... amazing. I'd highly recommend this property for two couples or a family.

The Cave was fantastic!

Beautifully appointed in French country style with lovely attention to detail... The street-level condo is set in a charming stone building and has modern amenities and stylish décor. Loved the comfy beds and pillows. The adjacent terrace provides added outdoor space for dining or hanging out in the sunshine - even into the fall months as we were there in late October. The pool is a fantastic bonus in the summer months. This unit is great for young families or for couples or close friends traveling together. Roquebrun is ideally situated for hiking and water sports or touring around from village to village following the local markets and exploring the historic and unbelievably picturesque countryside. The climb up into the Mediterranean Gardens near the tower that overlooks the village is well-worthwhile and makes for a lovely picnic - spectacular views of the river and valley and truly incredible plants and exotic vegetation growing in the micro-climate. Make sure to find the cave. A great stay in a fantastic location made for a terrific holiday. We will be back!

Perfect family oasis

Our week at Maison de Farine was the perfect respite in the middle of a busy 3 week tour of France and Italy. We didn't know anything about Langudoc before our trip but we loved learning about the region and it's heritage. We did day trips to Beziers, Carcassonne, and one (very long) day trip to Barcelona. Roquebrun itself is a great spot: so picturesque in the hillside, with just enough amenities (boulangierie, restaurants, and a small grocery store) without being busy and the house is a couple hundreds meters from the centre, which ensures quiet. The house itself was absolutely gorgeous (the pictures don't do it justice). The main floor common areas and especially the gorgeous and well equipped kitchen were fantastic. The patio allowed us to eat al fresco every night. The four bedrooms gave everyone some quiet moments. Everything about Maison de Farine make me recommend it very highly for your next vacation.

Almost afraid to share this gem

Amazing holiday in five star accomodation

We had a wonderful time staying at the Maison de Farine in Roqueburn. The house was beautifully decorated and spacious, with views across to Roqueburn which were stunning.The open plan living area housed a lovely, fully equipped kitchen with a fantastic (and large) central cooking and eating area (my teenage daughter made full use of the 'Nespresso' coffee machine and the 'coffee nook'!). We spent our days lazing by the lovely pool (which we were lucky enough to have to ourselves) and chilling out on the sun loungers. There was even a 'Cave' directly opposite the house, so holiday wine was plentiful! Roqueburn itself was a few minutes walk from the house and was lovely - small, but perfectly formed! There were a few good restaurants, a tabac, and a boulangerie. The river itself was wonderfully clear and perfectly safe for swimming.We took our own kayak (although there were plenty to rent) and spent a few lazy hours paddling up and down. We visited the coast, which was easily accessible in 40 minutes, on several occasions. Beziers is close, so is Montpellier and Carcassone, and we even made it to Nimes to meet friends! The house was spacious for our family of seven. The extra accomodation below the house, which will soon be available to rent, would be great for extended family and friends.
